Invictus is a civil-society organisation based in Berane, working to strengthen communities across northern Montenegro. Founded in 2016, we bring long-standing experience in social inclusion, accessibility, youth participation, employment support, sport, culture and community-based services.
Our roots are in the disability community. That experience continues to shape how we work: development should be practical, accessible and built with the people it is intended to serve. Today, our statutory mandate and programme capacity extend to rural development, sustainable tourism, environmental action, digital skills, education, energy efficiency, human rights and wider local development.
What we bring to a European partnership
- Direct community access: established relationships with residents, families, young people, volunteers and vulnerable groups.
- Local institutional reach: practical knowledge of Berane and working links across municipal services, schools, cultural institutions, sports organisations, employers and civil society.
- Proven delivery: a portfolio of publicly funded projects implemented since 2016, including a current EU-funded subgrant.
- Inclusive implementation: experience turning policy goals into workshops, training, public events, local services, accessibility improvements and community pilots.
- A versatile local platform: the ability to assemble project-based multidisciplinary teams and mobilise local actors around a clearly defined initiative.
Where we can contribute
Invictus is well placed to serve as a local implementation partner, pilot-site host, community-engagement partner, dissemination partner or co-applicant in projects concerning:
- social inclusion, accessibility and independent living;
- youth participation, skills, employment and active citizenship;
- inclusive sport, culture and non-formal education;
- rural and mountain communities, sustainable tourism and local products;
- digital inclusion and community innovation;
- environmental awareness, energy efficiency and healthy lifestyles;
- local democracy, human rights and support for marginalised groups.
