Experience and projects
Invictus has implemented publicly funded initiatives since 2016. The portfolio shows continuity, trusted local access and the ability to work across community services, infrastructure, sport, culture, employment and youth participation.
Current and recent work
EMPOWERED (OSNAŽENI)
An EU-funded subgrant delivered through the CORDIAL grant scheme (contract 2024/459-833). The twelve-month project supports the economic and social inclusion of persons with disabilities in Berane, particularly women, through psychosocial and motivational support, digital and creative skills, entrepreneurship, work placements with local employers and public awareness. Published project value: €11,491.80.
Generation A – An Active Generation for an Active Community
A youth-participation project supported by Montenegro’s Ministry of Sports and Youth. It helps young people identify community priorities, engage local decision-makers and participate in public-policy processes, with particular attention to the visibility and participation of young persons with disabilities. Published project value: €12,000.
Equality in Sport
An inclusive-sport programme delivered in Berane and Plav. Activities included school workshops, engagement with sports clubs, 100 inclusive training sessions for children and young people with disabilities, and a final competition. The programme combined physical development, confidence, socialisation, teamwork and public visibility.
Selected completed projects
- Unlocking Independence (2024): creative workshops and a public exhibition involving children, young people and women with disabilities, delivered with a partner organisation and presented at the Nikola and Uglješa Popović Gallery in Berane.
- New Circle (2023): promotion of sport for persons with disabilities, particularly children and young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities; supported by the Municipality of Berane.
- Circle (2022): inclusive-sport support and equipment for the local Day Centre for Children and Young People with Developmental Disabilities; supported by the Municipality of Berane.
- A Helping Hand (2020–2021): three months of home-support services for beneficiaries, financed through the Municipality of Berane’s NGO programme.
- 20 Roadside Signs (2019): creation and marking of twenty accessible parking spaces in Berane, financed by Montenegro’s Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs. Published project value: €5,247.28.
- Speaking Through Drawing (2018): accessibility improvements at the Polimski Museum and an exhibition of artwork by users of the local Day Centre, implemented with the museum and financed by the Municipality of Berane. Published project value: €4,398.56.
- We Rejoice in One Another (2017): an early community initiative supported by the Municipality of Berane.
What this experience demonstrates
- delivery of municipal, ministerial and EU-supported projects;
- work with schools, cultural institutions, sports organisations, employers and social-service providers;
- direct mobilisation of beneficiaries, families, volunteers and local professionals;
- implementation through training, mentoring, public events, local services and small infrastructure improvements;
- the ability to connect a funded project with visible, practical community benefit.
